User / Installer codes not working

  1. If you have changed the codes, make sure you are using the new one and not the default.
  2. Make sure the user and installer codes are not the same -if so, changing one of them will allow access.

Devices don't trigger the panel

Make sure the correct device has been enrolled. See 'deleting a device' and enrol it again.

PIR doesn't detect movement

Wireless PIR's have a sleep timer. After detection, the device will need 2 minutes with no movement before it will activate again.

Alarm sounds, but private telephone doesn't ring

  1. Check connection between the Powermax and telephone socket
  2. Make sure' ABORT TIME' is set to '00' see 'setting abort time'
  3. Repeat procedure 'reporting to private telephones'  Make sure the number is entered correctly and 'REPORT>PRVT' is not disabled

'Trouble' light is illuminated

Press 'SHOW/OK' button repeatedly, each time listening to the voice prompts. The reason will be announced.
